Pellet India
Pellet Industry in India has investment of over Rs. 40,000 crores, which has provided employment for around 1,00,000 people with 85 MTPA Mineral pellet manufacturing capacity in India. And around 117 MTPA Capacity for Beneficiation Mineral Pellet is a value added manufactured product and excise duty is levied on the same.
Mineral Pellets are manufactured by a process of beneficiation of low grade mineral, slurry transportation of concentrate produced, followed by filtration of concentrated slurry, mixing additives and indurated in a furnace upto 1300°C to produce mineral pellets.

From CEO’s Desk
India is working towards becoming a manufacturing powerhouse through various policy initiatives, the steel industry has emerged as a major focus area given the dependence of a plethora of sectors on its output. India is currently the world’s second largest producer of steel and is set to become the second largest consumer of steel, with the industry contributing about 2% of the country’s GDP. The industry has the potential to make India to regain its positive trade balance in steel as well as to drive the country’s export manufacturing capabilities. There is an urgent need to boost the competitiveness of the country’s steel industry. In order to achieve this, cost reduction across the supply chain, development of efficient logistics and reduction in financing costs are some of the measures required. A sound credit sector, better investment environment and boost to infrastructure development will go a long way towards strengthening the industry. Steel and metal manufacturing units are considered to be asset intensive. In addition to automating processes, these technologies connect all units in a plant, allowing them to interact in real time
and enhancing the efficiency of the whole system. Sound asset performance and technology integration will also boost labour productivity. This will help in reducing costs and increasing profitability across the industry. Investment in education and training will be a key enabler in these areas. The right adoption of the emerging technologies is a critical factor for success in times to come. Though the steel industry in India and the rest of the world is grappling with certain challenges, a push from the government and the adoption of emerging technologies will enable India to become a USD 5 trillion economy in 5 years and to achieve the goals outlined in National Steel Policy, 2017.
Pellets
Pellets are ground mineral fines converted to spherical shaped balls (8- 18 mm), have good physical properties for mechanical transportation over long distances. Pellets have excellent metallurgical properties, viz. Higher tumbling index and lower abrasion index, Good porosity. Better reducibility, Regular size, Built in flux, Higher bulk density compared to sinter, Improved productivity, Reduced coal consumption. Pellets are vital raw material for all types of iron making. Pelletizing Technology uses the powder that is generated during ore extraction process, once considered waste.
The Company is technically headed by Mr. D.Sanyal, 36 years’ experienced Engineer in the same field under whose support, guidance and manifestation we aim to excel new apex.
Beneficiation and Pelletization of Mineral
Wide reserves of mineral is found in India which is the basic raw material for iron and steel industry. National Steel Policy of India envisages the ambitious goal of the nation to reach a production capacity of 300 Mt/yr of crude quality steel by 2030 – 31. So the corresponding demand of mineral containing 62 – 64 % Fe would be around 490 Mt (excluding India’s export requirement). To cope up with increasing global and domestic market demand and to achieve the goals of National Steel Policy, Indian steel industry is in need of large quantity of mineral.
Depletion of high grade mineral, stringent environmental regulations involved in opening of new mines, problems involved in handling, disposal of tailings (slimes), and utilizing of mineral at 45% Fe as a cut-off fixed by Indian Bureau of Mines, it is the need of hour to effectively beneficiate low grade mineral. Beneficiation is a metallurgical (Physical & Chemical) process in which waste materials (Gangue material) are separated from a low grade ore to produce an enriched high grade concentrate.
